Chocolate Chip Cookie V05

This week, will be the 2nd to the last cookie. Taking everything done previously this will mainly just be a variation of the v04 and replacing mainly the secret ingredient but also tweaking the flours and sugar from the other variations. Not my favorite variations, it has good flavor but the texture is too cake-like for my preference of a cookie.


  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 4oz condensed milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • Sea salt.


Step 1

Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Set aside.

Step 2

Using a mixer fitted with paddle attachment, cream butter, cream cheese and sugars together until very light, about 5 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add in the vanilla.

Step 3

Reduce speed to low, add dry ingredients and mix until just combined, 5 to 10 seconds. Drop chocolate pieces in and incorporate them without breaking them. Press plastic wrap against dough and refrigerate for 24 to 36 hours.

Step 4

When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a nonstick baking mat. Set aside.

Step 5

Cookie Scoop onto baking sheet, Sprinkle lightly with sea salt and bake until golden brown but still soft, 11-13 minutes.

    Hiya! I tried the cookie you made in the kitchen and I found it to be top notch, it was just the perfect consistency, soft but not to the point where it falls apart in your hand. The choice of chocolate was very nice just sweet enough for me. Finally, I truly enjoyed the hint of saltiness in the background, it offsets the sugary takes nicely.
