Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

Whats better than peanut butter cookies? adding chocolate, make that double! This is a recipe for Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies. It’s very simple and easy for anyone to make. This cookie is nice and gooey in the middle however if you like a bit harder cookie, then i would bake it for a bit longer.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup cocoa
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup butter, slightly softened
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cups chocolate chips
  • 2 cups chopped pecans, optional

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix flour, cocoa, soda and salt using a wire whisk and set aside.

Step 3

In another bowl, cream butter, sugar and peanut butter until light and fluffy.

Step 4

Add eggs and vanilla and mix until combined. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture and mix until combined. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.

Step 5

Roll cookie dough into 1-1/4 inch balls. (If desired, roll balls in chopped pecans.) Place on parchment paper covered baking sheet. Slightly press down to flatten just a little.

Step 6

Bake 10-11 minutes. Place cookies on cookie rack to cool. Enjoy!
