This is a very simple recipe for Teriyaki Drumsticks. It’s easy to make and delicious! I recommend putting it in a baking pan that is a tighter fit for all the chicken you put in there so it can cook in the sauce nicely. You can also do a marinade with it as well if you prefer incase you want to prepare majority of it before hand however it is just as flavorful without the need to marinade. Overall a great recipe and easy to make so i definitely recommend it.

Ingredients

  • 6-12 Chicken Drumsticks
  • 1 tbps cornstarch
  • 1 tbps cold water
  • 1/2 cup agave or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper

Method

Step 1

In a small bowl combine cornstarch with some water and mix well with your finger until completely liquid.

Step 2

In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the cornstarch, cold water, agave, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger and ground black pepper. Let simmer, stirring frequently, until sauce thickens and bubbles.

Step 3

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

Step 4

Place chicken pieces in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Brush chicken with the sauce. Turn pieces over, and brush again.

Step 5

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Turn pieces over, and bake for another 30 minutes, until no longer pink and juices run clear. Brush with sauce every 10 minutes during cooking. Enjoy!
