White Chocolate Butterscotch Blondies

This is a recipe for Butterscotch Blondies, Blondies are essentially Brownies except you replace the cocoa powder with vanilla. The butterscotch adds a nice depth of flavor to the white chocolate and also gives it a very pleasing aroma. It is a very easy recipe that anyone can make.


  • 1 cup melted butter (2 stick)
  • 2 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 cup white chocolate chips


Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Line an 9x13 pan with foil and spray foil lightly with non stick spray.

Step 2

Melt butter in the microwave on low power 30 seconds at a time. In your mixer combine melted butter, brown sugar, egg and vanilla. Mix on medium until combined.

Step 3

Melt butterscotch chips either a double boiler or microwave. On low speed add in your melted butterscotch chips and mix until smooth, scraping sides as needed.

Step 4

in a large bowl, shift baking soda, salt and flour. Turn mixer back to low and add flour mixture. Mix until just combined.

Step 5

Add in your white chocolate chips and mix until incorporated evenly.

Step 6

Spread in prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.

Step 7

When done, let cool on wire rack, before cutting into squares. Enjoy!
